Man expected to survive SE Austin shooting

Austin police are investigating a shooting that happened early Monday morning in Southeast Austin.

Someone in an apartment complex on Crossing Place, near Riverside Drive, called 911 at about 1:15 a.m. to report shots fired and a man lying in the street.

An ambulance took the victim to University Medical Center Brackenridge, where he went through surgery.  The man is expected to survive.
