Sampson is a one-year-old Miniature Pinscher available for adoption at the Austin Animal Center.
Volunteers at the center say he likes to go for long walks on a leash, appears to be housetrained, and peacefully shares a kennel with four other small dogs.
Sampson likes people and enjoys being scratched right above his tail. Center volunteers say he is a lap dog, but he likes to stand in people’s laps.
Sampson is not the only dog available at the center. Officials say there are many other dogs and cats to choose from as well.
February is “Love a Pet Month” with special $40 adoption fees. Kids can come and make Valentine’s Day cards to put outside their favorite pet’s kennel and cookies and dog treats will be available every Saturday in February.
