Lawsuit claims Lubbock ISD refused to run tattooed-Jesus ad

LUBBOCK, Texas (NBC/KCBC) — Lubbock Independent School District officials aren’t saying anything regarding a pending lawsuit claiming the district refused to run an ad showing a tattooed Jesus Christ during a high school football game.

The group behind the ad, Little Pencil LLC, opened up about the suit earlier this week.

The group says the ad promotes the Bible’s teachings through contemporary marketing.

They claim the District allowed other faith-based organizations to advertise — but not theirs. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
