TERRELL HILLS, Texas (WOAI) — Several fire crews are on the scene of a massive house fire in the small town of Terrell Hills, which falls inside the San Antonio city limits.
KXAN’s sister station WOAI in San Antonio reports at least 10 fire crews were on the scene of the fire, along with four police patrol units. One lane of Harry Wurzbach Road has been shut down at Lyman Road while crews try to battle the flames.
The Terrell Hills fire chief says two people inside the home, a man and a woman, were able to get out of the house. The woman suffered burns to about 20% of her body.
She was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment. Fire crews say they were able to stop the fire from spreading to nearby homes.

One neighbor told News 4 San Antonio he believed the fire may have started with some kind of explosion. He says his home shook at about 5:45a.m. around the same time the fire broke out. The official cause of the fire remains under investigation.
