AUSTIN (KXAN) – The Travis County Medical Examiner ruled the death of a man who died in April a homicide, raising the number of homicides in the city of Austin for 2013 to 25.

Edward Rodriguez, 66, died on April 21, 2013. He is described as a Hispanic male but no other details about his appearance or cause of death have been released. He was previously shot during a disturbance at a laundromat in 1976, and at that time the suspect was interviewed but charges were declined by the Travis County District Attorney’s office. The suspect has since died in 1995.

The Austin Police Department said no further action will be taken on this case.
