After one year of officially being Manor Independent School District’s Superintendent, Kevin Brackmeyer announced his resignation on Tuesday night.

According to a statement released by the District, an agreement was reached between Brackmeyer and the District that allows for Brackmeyer to pursue other interests and lets the Board move forward with hiring another superintendent. It goes on to say “it is in their respective best interests and in the best interests of the District.”

Brackmeyer was hired as a principal at Manor High School in the summer of 209 where he served until he became interim superintendent the summer of 2012 and finally superintendent in Jan. 2013.
