Friday’s weather will not impact the start of the annual MomCom. That’s a conference that was started in 2012 to bring moms together.
Trish Morrison started the event after working full-time and not feeling like she had enough time with her daughter.
When she met other women who expressed the same thing, she decided to get more mothers together to talk about ways to balance work and life.
The conference is also a chance to meet other moms.
“Even if you are a stay-at-home mom and you are talking to a working mom and you think you have nothing in common, and then you start talking and you realize you both are just trying to make it. And you are connected,” said Trish Morrison, CEO MomCom.
MomCom starts Friday at 3p.m. at the Westin at The Domain.
