Ft. Hood deaths appear to be murder-suicide

Fort Hood

FORT HOOD, Texas KXAN) – Military officials believe the deaths of three people on-post at Fort Hood on Tuesday morning is the result of a murder-suicide involving a dad and his two kids.

The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command says the 43-year-old man was married to a soldier who recently returned from an overseas deployment.

The bodies of the husband and his two daughters, ages nine and four, were discovered in the female soldier’s on-post house in the Pershing Park neighborhood around 7:15 a.m.

While it appears to be a murder-suicide, officials from CID will continue to investigate the case until a final ruling is made.

Identities of the victims have not been released.
