Father, son die in Central Texas house fire

DEANVILLE, Texas (AP) — Investigators are trying to determine what started a Central Texas house fire blamed for the deaths of a man and his son.

The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office on Friday identified the pair as 70-year-old James Suehs and 49-year-old James Suehs Jr., both from Caldwell.

Firefighters late Monday night responded to a 911 call about a structure fire in Deanville, about 70 miles northeast of Austin. The bodies were found by firefighters after the blaze was extinguished.

The sheriff’s office says preliminary autopsy results show the cause of death to be fire-related. The deaths are not considered to be suspicious.
