Amber Alert canceled for South Texas girl

BRAZORIA, Texas (KXAN) – Update: Elizabeth Smith was found at 2:36 a.m. on Wednesday.

An Amber Alert was issued for a South Texas girl who police say was abducted on Monday.

Police are looking for 13-year-old Elizabeth Catherine Smith who was last seen Monday at 8:30 a.m. in Alvin, about 30 miles south of Houston.

They are also looking for Jose Angel Ponce, a 38-year-old Hispanic man who was last seen driving a black, 2010 Chevrolet C 1500 truck with Texas license plate number AT22261.

Authorities believe the child is in grave or immediate danger.
